Last Post

Well I can't believe it's that time already.  I just returned home after a long flight and I'm exhausted.  The trip is officially over and I believe it was a huge success. Thank God that He gave us all a safe trip home and I pray that He'll continue the work in Thailand even without us present.  Things have gone remarkably well and I can't wait until we have the chance again to work in Thailand.  If you would like to hear more about this trip, please feel free to contact me or any of the team members.

Last day of classes

Today was our official last day of classes and we were pretty busy.  We all received several things from our students as gifts and it was very sad to say goodbye.  Many asked if we would be back next year.  After our classes, several of the brothers and sisters came and we played volleyball and ate Moo Gata.  It was delicious!  We played more volleyball and now we're resting for tomorrow where we'll play tomorrow as well.  I can't believe it's really almost here.  I'm not ready to go back, but we can only stay for so long.  Please continue to pray as we get ready to pack and come back home.

More Classes!

Today was yet another day of classes.  Sorry the posts have been kind of repititious, but there's nothing more going on since it's our last week of classes.  Today one of my classes gave me a card with a little stuffed animal that had a thing in it with their voices recorded.  I love it and I'm going to miss them.  This is the class where one of the students talked to me and I got to give my testimony in Thai to him so I pray that God will continue to work in his life after I leave.  Tonight after classes, we went with a few of the Thai Christians to go eat Pad Thai at this really amazing restaurant.  It was delicious!  Tomorrow is mother's day for Thailand and there's a ton of stuff going on to celebrate.  That's all for now.  Please continue to pray for us as we wind down our trip and especially pray for us as we head back with the hightened security.

Classes

Well classes are still going alright.  Today my last class took Amos, Leigh and I out to eat and then they gave us a few souvenirs.  It was really sad to think this is the last time that I'll get to teach them this year.  They've been such a great blessing to teach and spend time with and it's always hard to say goodbye.  Here in a few days we'll be getting ready and packing and that is when I'll probably finally realize it's time for us to leave.  Be praying as we get ready to leave for our safe travels back home.  That's all for now.

More classes

Well yesterday went of without a hitch so things are going well so far.  After classes yesterday, Leigh went and ate dinner with P'Glome, the preacher, and the rest of us went out and had some noodles followed by a place called Mobile Steak.  It was great!  Today will be another day of lessons and hoping things don't get too confusing as we try in integrate the floating 3 schedules with our own.  Also last night, Larry Henderson and the ACU interns came back from Cambodia where they went to the Asian Mission Forum.  They'll be with us until the 14th and will be flying out around the same time.  That's all for now.

Last week of classes

Today starts our last week of classes.  I can't believe it's that time already.  We'll be taking over Ross, Julie and Justin's students at their designated times so please be praying for us as we try to figure it out.  Ross, Julie and Justin should be back in the states any minute now actually so I guess their trip is officially concluded.  That's all for now.

Justin, Ross and Julie leave for the US

We just got back from the airport where we sent off Ross, Justin and Julie.  I can't believe it is already getting close to time for us to head home.  Where did summer go?  This next week will be the last week of classes with Amos, Leigh, Kate, and I taking all of the students and dividing them out amongst ourselves.  Pray that will go over without too many complications.  Also tonight is our last night to go to Na Saow's for cell group and that makes me sad.  Hopefully it'll be a good chance to just remember the times we get to share together.  That's all for now.  I'll post pictures soon from our last English camp.

Justin, Ross and Julie's last Sunday

Well today was the last Sunday that Ross, Julie and Justin have with us here in Bangkok. It was a great day. We had service this morning where the church gave them their rememberance gifts and then we had an amazing Bible class with Larry Henderson. Afterwards at 2, we had a going away party where we invited all of our students to come and we played a lot of fun games with them. There were games such as telephone, Simon says as well as others. Afterwards, we invited our students to stay for church and about 15 of them stayed for evening service where the church welcomed them with open arms. Tomorrow we're going to just lay low and relax to give the 3 time to pack. That's all for now. In Him, Tong

Phuket

Sorry for no updates the past week but it's been a hectic one.  I was sick for awhile, but I'm great now!  We left this past Thursday for Phuket.  It was a great time of relaxation for the team to unwind and have no cares.  Also today, we got to meet with the Thai Christians in Phuket and they fed us lunch and we hung out with them for awhile.  Tomorrow is Ross, Justin and Julie's last Sunday and we're all sad because that means the trip is coming to a close.  Be praying for us as we do our best with a last ditch effort to make an impact here.

In Him,

Tong
